Tell us about your first live performance; where was it at, what was the response, how did you feel before/afterwards? Tara Chase: I've performed on stage with DL Incognito, Jully Black, Kardinal, Sauks, Choclair, Ro Dolla, Eternia, Motion, Apani B Fly, Michee Mee, the list goes on. I've performed Toronto, Montreal, Across Canada on tour, New York, Germany (toured Germany), England and Jamaica. I like intimate crowds, feels like I'm chilling with my friends but the disadvantage of small shows is you see everything, which can be distracting. With large crowds you don't have focus on anyone but the disadvantage is that you loose the intimacy. The only thing about too many live shows is that it kills my throat. Can't talk for like a week...just straight up pain. It's hard to pinpoint my first live performance because I've been performing in some form or fashion since I was very young. I think my first live hip hop performance was at my school dance in like grade 9...I murdered it. It was like "surprise everyone..I can rap too!" Everyone was shocked and giving me daps. I got props all year!! LOL!! L: What goals have you set for tomorrow? T: To be alive and enjoy life! My immediate goals (in between all the enjoyment of life) are to complete an album in 2005. Get my production company off the ground (yeah I'm having a love affair with an MPC). Finish my new program in school and start my mentoring program.
