Lee: On the track titled "Wait" you intro with a clip of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. What relationship do you feel Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has with who you are and are hoping to present to listeners with the music you create?

Omni: I'm hoping to get out a message definitely but also promote self awareness and being yourself. I also represent life and just everyday situations. Reality rap and fun rap combined in one big ball of fun..hahaha...

L: When you think back to your earliest recollection of learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. what comes to mind?

O: A time when doing what I am doing now was unheard of as far as traveling or living off of art or being able to perform especially in front of white America which is baffling to me.

L: By chance have you read Michael Eric Dyson's I May Not Get There with You: The True Martin Luther King, Jr.?

O: I have not but thank you for the recommendations, I will peep the title.

L: You're also linked up the web: www.omniblx.com | Very dope site. What are your thoughts on promotion through the internet and what it provides for you as an artist?

O: I assume it's a great tool. I don't know actually what it has done for me, but I here stories from more established cats and it seems like a great tool for communication and getting info out there. I know we have several sites a couple in different languages: www.blxjapan.net

L: In regards to promotion how do you feel about radio in general and also radio in your area and the love they're showing for their artist?

O: This is my first real legit radio run thanks to Jessica @ Spectre, they did a great job and I got some love over all. You are always gonna find some cat who doesn't like your vocals or production but once again that's not my concern. I'm a soldier for God...this is bigger than me or them... hahaha...

L: On top of the Burgundy Brown release I was told that you already have another project complete that is scheduled to be released later this year. You puttin' in work considerin' you just released a banger and are scheduled already to hit the people off with what I'm expecting to be another. Whose featured on this project and what details can you provide about this album for the public's knowing?

O: Thank you, my next album is entitled: Ballyhoo (that's a big uproar and commotion by a group of people, a big protest). So on the menu I got a chance to work with Myka9, LuckyIam, PSC, Wildchild, Fatlip and Molmaniak again. I was going to feat Murs but the album was complete by then. It's a pleasure to work with cats that I listened to growing up. This album is bangers and bananas, touches up on life, love relationships, money but it also brings back an element of styling that got me involved in music from the beginning. I love this album, some of my best work...

I am in process of finishing my 4th album entitled Black Suits. This is to be released with a mini-movie I wrote and directed in Japan, but that's some 2006 ish...

L: Feel free to drop any other info on where folks can check for Omni and BLX material.

O: Word up check out the sites omniblx.com | blxjapan.net | ksdmusic.com | arielrecords.com

Also, just get up on me if you haven't... I got some good music coming your way... a world wide tour scheduled with Fatlip in USA, Europe, Japan, Australia all for 2005. I'm on the Ernie Ball stage at Warp this year with a live punk band called CapGunSuicide... it's a workaholic year yall…thanks for the love and support.

L: Thank you for the interview.

O: Thank you...
