Semantics | The Product

Having heard a few tracks in the past here and there from Semantics, I was over-impressed by the result of The Product which also features production by the Promise Pseudo himself.  Musically, The Product bumps strong a majority of the way through.  Considering the way The Product begins, I had to make an exception for tracks like "Bloodflowers" which  seem to carry a higher vocal than beat.  It was a minor shift away from what bangers like "Still Here" and "So Fly" introduce which felt a lot more balanced coming out the speakers, providing just as much beat as it did vocal.  Another strength that complimented the production of tracks like "Original Blueprint" would have to be the scratches provided by DJ Bless 1ne from The Giantz. It definitely gives a listener like myself the kind of variety that is essential for avoiding  an album that is monotonous and boring.  In and out of each track and interlude, unique productions bridged with different kinds of moods that lyrically speak for an MC that creatively continues to build.  Don't count it off, Semantics has much more in store for yall.  REVIEW BY: repshowhost Also check out the Semantics Interview "Cap'n Crunch" conducted on the 1st of October, 2004.
